The Game Fair has become an important part of our calendar and a week we look forward to every year!

The Game Fair 2019 is at Hatfield House, Hertfordshire 26th - 28th July and really is one long weekend designed for anyone who loves shooting, conservation, country pursuits, the great outdoors, as well as food & drink and wonderful shopping.

The focal point for us over the three days is always the launch of our new season shooting socks.  We are absolutely thrilled with this year’s collection and think it is our most memorable yet. We love meeting our very loyal customers (and usually their dogs too!) who come and find us every year.  We’ll no doubt have a good catch up on the 2018 season, how the dogs performed, how the new dogs are coming on (friendly debating on the pros and cons of  Labs or Spaniels!) and the expectations for the new season, and many other aspects of rural life – corn prices, is the harvest off, were yields up (or down?). It all gets discussed. Of course there is a social element too, with many friends calling by during the day and the odd party or two in the evening.

If we do manage to steal 10 mins away from the stand we will be heading to:

• The Kitchen Theatre
• The Subaru Shooting Line
• The Fishing Village

Preparing for this long weekend starts well in advance of July - production meetings start in the preceding November to discuss where the next year's range will be heading - which yarns and shades are going down a storm and which are heading for retirement. Then in February, our socks start arriving from the knitters ready to be packaged and labelled ready for display, We estimate we will be bringing close to 1,000 pairs of socks to Hatfield House. Our stand layout evolves every year and we try and bring as many styles as we possibly can - and of course there are the garters too.
