The way the Sutherland shooting sock is knitted is different to the majority of our other socks. The Sutherland has a more technical design and appearance; the full length of the leg is terry-lined and special ventilation ribs have been knitted into the upper.
The foot features arch support to keep the sock in place and prevent movement and bunching. This elasticated panel is repeated on the ankle for a more ergonomic fit and to help prevent the socks from moving during the course of a long day.
The turnover top is finished with a traditional cable knit and we have given the option of adding a matching garter tie.
Take them on plenty of outings Machine wash according to the guidelines below At the end of the season store them in a moth free environment
For your convenience most of the socks in the range are machine washable (please check individual packaging/product details).
However, please follow our simple guidelines to ensure happy socks:
Turn the socks inside out before washing Use a 40°C wool wash programme Use a gentle spin programme Use wool friendly detergent - avoid biological detergents and preferably non-bio's as even these can contain bleaching agents
