All of our socks are entirely manufactured within the UK, using specialist skills and knitting techniques passed down through generations. To knit a sock involves several different processes, many of which are still done by hand.

Premium Yarns +

Our socks are knitted from a variety of yarns, all of which are selected for their performance.

Merino Blend – the blend of Merino wool and acrylic is perfect for elegant and durable socks. This Italian yarn provides unwavering quality and versatility.

The Rudhall is now in its second season; we introduced the Rudhall following the success of the Cromarty and Sutherland. The difference between these two designs and the bulk of our range is that they have a different leg construction from the standard rib legs.

The Rudhall has a more technical design and appearance; the full length of the leg is terry-lined and special ventilation ribs have been knitted into the upper.

The foot features arch support to keep the sock in place and prevent movement and bunching. This elasticated panel is repeated on the ankle for a more ergonomic fit and to help prevent the socks from moving during a long day.

The Rudhall is available in two striking colours - navy blue is complemented with spruce and mid-grey and burgundy which includes dark olive and tartan red in the turnover. The Rudhall is knitted in Scotland from a Merino wool and acrylic blend; we have given the option of adding the contrasting garter.

Care Guidelines+

Please Take Good Care of Your Socks...

Take them on plenty of outings
Machine wash according to the guidelines below
At the end of the season store them in a moth free environment

For your convenience most of the socks in the range are machine washable (please check individual packaging/product details).

However, please follow our simple guidelines to ensure happy socks:

Turn the socks inside out before washing
Use a 40°C wool wash programme
Use a gentle spin programme
Use wool friendly detergent - avoid biological detergents and preferably non-bio's as even these can contain bleaching agents

Returns+

We hope that any product which is purchased through The Shooting Sock Co will meet your expectations. However, if you would like to return any items we will be happy to refund or exchange the product. We operate a 28 day return & exchange policy. For more information please see our Returns page.

All returns must be in their original condition with the labels attached and in the original packaging. Goods which are not returned in a saleable condition may be refused a refund or exchange.

We expect you to have kept the original packaging (including the postal box/bag) together with all labels. All products must be packaged in a protective outer.
