All of our socks are entirely manufactured within the UK, using specialist skills and knitting techniques passed down through generations. To knit a sock involves several different processes, many of which are still done by hand.

Premium Yarns +

Our socks are knitted from a variety of yarns, all of which are selected for their performance.

Wool – Wool is naturally antibacterial and breathable and so is perfect for socks. Wool yarn is comparatively as strong as steel providing incredible durability with comfort and warmth. Wool also offers superb insulation, ensuring your feet stay warm in colder temperatures.

The Pennine ‘Beater’ shooting sock offers a superb value-for-money sock that most of us will have in their sock drawer somewhere! It is incredibly versatile and can be worn for beating, picking-up, shooting or as a welly-sock.

A diamond pattern is knitted onto the leg and top, which adds a subtle detail to this plain green sock.

The Beater is knitted from a durable wool blend and is available in sizes 3 - 13½; we have given the option of adding a contrasting burgundy garter.

Care Guidelines+

Please Take Good Care of Your Socks...

Take them on plenty of outings
Machine wash according to the guidelines below
At the end of the season store them in a moth free environment

For your convenience most of the socks in the range are machine washable (please check individual packaging/product details).

However, please follow our simple guidelines to ensure happy socks:

Turn the socks inside out before washing
Use a 40°C wool wash programme
Use a gentle spin programme
Use wool friendly detergent - avoid biological detergents and preferably non-bio's as even these can contain bleaching agents

Returns+

We hope that any product which is purchased through The Shooting Sock Co will meet your expectations. However, if you would like to return any items we will be happy to refund or exchange the product. We operate a 28 day return & exchange policy. For more information please see our Returns page.

All returns must be in their original condition with the labels attached and in the original packaging. Goods which are not returned in a saleable condition may be refused a refund or exchange.

We expect you to have kept the original packaging (including the postal box/bag) together with all labels. All products must be packaged in a protective outer.
